TERMS & CONDITIONS
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Laura Nuu Nutrition (LNN), the service provider, will provide tailored nutrition consulting advice. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to:
Discovery Call: A 15-minute consultation, either in-person or via telecommunications, to establish your needs. No specific health recommendations will be made during this time.
Nutrition Consult Bundle:
Initial Consultation: A 1-hour consultation, either in-person or via telecommunications, covering individual characteristics, lifestyle, goals, medical history, current diet, the client’s relationship with food that LNN deems relevant and necessary at time of consult.
Dietary Analysis: Clients will maintain a food and symptom diary (or equivalent) provided by LNN to record food intake, physical and mental symptoms, and exercise over a specified timeframe. Following this, LNN will analyse the data to identify trends and develop tailored nutrition strategies and recommendations.
Strategy Session: A 1-hour session, either in-person or via telecommunications, to discuss the findings of the dietary analysis and personalized nutrition strategies.
Review Consultations: Three 45-minute sessions, either in-person or via telecommunications, to review and adjust the implemented nutrition strategies as necessary. Further skills and education may be provided during these consultations.
Additional Support: Ongoing support will be provided during business hours (9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday) via the Voxer voice memo application.
Initial Consultation: A 1-to-1.5-hour consultation (at discretion of LNN) either in-person or via telecommunications covering individual characteristics, lifestyle, goals, medical history, current diet, the client’s relationship with food and any other consultation elements that LNN deems relevant and necessary at time of consult. Relevant nutrition strategies to suit client goals and needs will be provided during this time if applicable.
Review Consultation: A 45-minute consultation either in person or via telecommunications to review and adjust the implemented nutrition strategies as necessary. Further skills and education may be provided during these consultations.
NDIS: Initial and review consultations conducted either in person or via telecommunications (as above). NDIS specific services may also include meal plans and report/letter of support writing. Provider travel fees may apply.
The services related to nutrition advice include (but are not limited to):
General well-being
Women’s health (e.g., PCOS, endometriosis, menstrual irregularities)
Chronic disease management
Sports nutrition
Paediatric Nutrition
Individualised nutrition for disabilities and impairments.
Packages and services may be tailored where appropriate to suit client needs. This policy is at the discretion of LNN.
CONFIDENTIALITY
LNN is committed to protecting clients' privacy and maintaining confidentiality regarding personal and health information. The following practices apply:
Confidential Information: All information shared during consultations, including health history and personal concerns, will be kept confidential.
Information Use: Client information will be used solely to provide tailored nutrition advice and support, including personalised meal plans and progress tracking.
Limits to Confidentiality:LNN may be legally obligated to disclose information if:
There is a risk of harm to the client or others.
Required by law or court order.
Data Security: Appropriate measures will be taken to protect client information, including secure storage and limited access.
Client Rights: Clients may request access to their personal information and corrections to inaccuracies and may withdraw consent for information sharing at any time, except as required by law.
By engaging LNN’s services, clients acknowledge understanding and acceptance of this confidentiality statement. Any questions may be directed to LNN.
FEES
LNN's fees for tailored nutrition consulting services depend on the service required and selected by the client. No GST will be charged for individual nutrition consulting services.
No private health or Medicare rebates are available on consultation packages.
LNN does not bulk bill services via Medicare. Clients may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid ‘Chronic Disease Management’ allied health referral from a GP or Specialist Physician.
NDIS fees are in alignment with NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Limits 2024-2025.
INVOICING & PAYMENT
When booking online a 100% payment is required prior to service delivery. An receipt will be emailed directly after payment has been made.
In the instances where a booking has not been made directly online, 100% payment is to made directly after the service. A receipt will be provided via email. At the discretion of LNN, in some cases an invoice will be sent after service with a 7-day payment deadline.
In the instance of NDIS funded clients, an invoice will be provided either to the participant or plan manager. Further procedures and policies regarding NDIS invoicing and payment will be outlined and agreed upon in a service agreement between the NDIS participant and LNN.
PAYMENT METHOD
Payments can be made securely via the online booking portal via debit or credit card, or via bank transfer via details provided. Please make all payments to Laura Nuu Nutrition and include the invoice number in the payment reference.
CANCELLATION POLICY
By Client: If the client cancels any service with an associated fee within 12 hours of booking, 50% of the fee will be retained by LNN. Failure to attend an appointment without providing prior notice incurs a 100% cancellation fee. If a medical certificate can be provided within 48 hours after the missed appointment, which demonstrates your inability to attend due to ill health, we may, in our sole discretion, agree to waive all or part of your cancellation fee.
By Service Provider: If LNN cancels any service, all payments made, including the deposit will be fully refunded. No refund will be made in the instance of a mutually agreeable reschedule secondary to service provider cancellation.
RESCHEDULING
Requests to reschedule must be made in writing, in-person or via telecommunications, more than 12 hours before the scheduled consultation date and time. Approval is subject to availability.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
Any additional costs incurred due to special requirements or changes requested by the client after the initial agreement will be invoiced separately.
REFUNDS
Refunds for overpayments or cancellations within the specified time periods will be processed within 5 business days of the cancellation notice or adjustment request.
LIABILITY
LNN is not liable for damages, injuries, or losses that occur during the nutrition consulting package, except those resulting from gross negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of LNN.
LNN and any associated services are covered by Guild Insurance. Certificate of Currency can be viewed upon request.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
In the event of a dispute regarding payments or services, both parties agree to resolve the issue through mediation before pursuing legal action.
AMENDMENTS
Any amendments to these payment terms and conditions must be agreed upon in writing by both LNN and the client.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
